How? Start with a dramatic CLIFFHANGER! Why? Because your audience will want to find out how your characters got into such a messy situation, and how they plan to get out of it. Cliffhangers should also be added to the end of each chapter to make your book or screenplay a real page-turner. PLOT SUMMARY
In the year 2037, an accidental nuclear experiment in the Pacific Ocean contaminates two-thirds of the planet’s fresh water, thus creating a water regulation in the United States. After the government takes control of the water supply, and provides it to those privileged enough to afford it, the poor are banned from their homes and stripped of their lands, as a tyrannical government emerges. On the brink of a Second Civil War, a young girl’s parents are murdered and her brother taken away to a prison camp in the newly colonized Sector 8 region of the state of Ohio.
The story centers around this girl’s incredible journey towards the colonized war zones in hopes of finding her brother and locating a sanctuary in what many believe to be the end of the world.
