While every Tuesday can be a “Giving Tuesday,” the official recognition of the event this year falls on December 3, 2024. Giving Tuesday has been referred to as a “global generosity movement, unleashing the power of the people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.” In simpler terms, #GivingTuesday is a day where folks are encouraged to do good for the places where they live, work, and play. The Greater Cleveland Film Commission (GCFC) hopes that you will consider us for a year-end investment.
Film industry professionals, who have benefitted from our work over the past year are encouraged to renew your current membership or get onboard the GCFC train. Whether you are production crew or a working actor fortunate enough to have worked on SUPERMAN, EENIE MEANIE, other projects, or simply part of the growing local film and media production industry, you should take advantage of the special GCFC membership industry rate. Of course, you may be an aspiring professional, or simply a film buff who wants to support the local production scene here in NE Ohio. In any event, we would appreciate you giving us a good look as a worthwhile charity to support.
As a workforce and economic development 501(c)3 whose mission is to create jobs and economic impact for Northeast Ohio through a vibrant film and media arts industry, we depend on the generosity of folks like you to be able to do what we do. GCFC was the driving force behind the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit (OMPTC) in 2009. After only 6 of the 17 projects slated to film in NE Ohio have shot, check out the impact: $87.8 million, 1465 crew hired, 4500 background actors hired, 358 small business vendors engaged, 25,571 hotel room nights booked! That is small example of the ROI on your investment.
